A little known indie flick called The Muppets is coming out tomorrow. You may have heard rumblings about it amongst the well-informed. Disney is trying their dardnest to promote it here and there— just wherever it can get airtime, really…
The Muppets‘ balcony-set heckling old critics Statler and Waldorf make a cameo in Pixar’s short film Presto.
whao, that’s awesome! :D
Holy Hell, I love Pixar.

According to The Playlist, Bret McKenzie – a member of New Zealand’s 4th most popular folk parody duo – will be acting as music supervisor for the film as well as penning some songs for it.
Pretty cool but I hope Jason Segel does some music for it as well.
OHMYDEARGOD, HOW IS EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MOVIE CONTINUING TO IMPROVE?! I’m seriously wondering if they should go ahead and use the original working title of “The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time!!!” because it’s certainly shaping up that way.
And apparently the Muppets are getting a star on the walk of fame.
Eeeeeeeee!
Reblogging for obvious reasons. So awesome.
“And now, a brief news flash: the worst blizzard in 50 years is approaching us at a great rate. The Weather Service reports that barometers are falling sharply.”
Jason Segel will play the lead role, a human named Gary, whose best friend is a Walter, a new iPhone-wielding Muppet named Walter voiced by Paul Rudd. The character has been described as “a sweet, slightly naive twenty-something Everypuppet who, in the movie, is the best friend and roommate of Segel’s character, Gary. Both Gary and Walter are die-hard Muppet fans.” Walter has never met other puppets and idealizes Kermit and the Muppets because they’re the only beings he’s seen that are like him. Together they go on a journey with Gary’s girlfriend Mary to defeat the evil Tex Richman (Chris Cooper), a man who doesn’t find the Muppets funny and thinks he can smell oil beneath their studio. The cast also includes Amy Adams and Rashida Jones in the other key human roles.
Other rumored cameos I’m excited about: John Krasinski, Ed Helms, Donald Glover and Zach Galifianakis as Hobo Jo.
Update: Add Billy Crystal and Alan Arkin to my list.

GASP! Also, filming starts in November?! I cannot wait for this to happen.
