Gah, these photos are absolute torture, Amanda! The lake looks so beautiful. You keep upping these pictures, and I’ll have no choice but to bring Natalie up for a Summer Vacation.
Exclusive images from the photo archive of Dr. Stanley Burns, a New York optamologist who collects and shares portraits of international injustice in what he sees as a mission “to help and to heal.” Photos range from the last public lynching to water torture at New York’s famous Sing Sing prison. (Warning: some photos are graphic.)

As Natalie said earlier this week, we went to my friend Abby’s wedding last weekend. The wedding was top notch. Every detail was meticulously planned. Abby and Eric are now my favorite married couple I went to High School with.
Sidebar: This candid picture was captured by my friend Jen, which got me thinking. I’d been to weddings that had disposable cameras at each table, so now that we’ve graduated to digital cameras… why don’t more people create online albums so all guests can upload their pictures from the wedding? Odds are there would be some great shots (of both the wedding party and the guests) that a professional photographer would have missed. Plus with a service like Picasa or Flikr, the bride and groom could even order prints for their wedding album. Just an idea.

Dad and I saw Willie on Studio 42 with Bob Costas, solidifying my belief that Willie Mays is one of my favorite former ballplayers.

NATALIE!
Step 1) Print this off.
Step 2) Have Adam West sign it at Comic-Con.
Step 3) Keep it forever. (Also, possibly frame it.)
