Fitz & The Tantrums “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) LIVE”

Saw these guys again last night, and they continue to impress.

I’ve made an effort to stop saying “Yeah, I liked that song too… when I heard it _____ months ago.”

But come on Weezer, “Pumped up Kicks” has been on my iPod for nearly 2 years now.  If you’re going to be that late to the party, you could at least do something unique for the cover.

This mix has been sitting on my laptop since New Year’s (and with no internet in the new apartment, it continued to sit), but since I’m nearly finished with my next mix - I figured it was ridiculous to keep waiting… so here it is.

“It was 11:00pm. After 9 or 10 practice runs with a mic that was off the entire time, we were so tired and bummed out! On the last try, she yawns and couldn’t wait to go to sleep! and so did i. But this is Alexa Narvaez, my daughter, trying out Edward Sharpe and the magnetic zeros “home” song.”  -Jorge Navaez

If you could hear any band perform any song that was not originally their own, who and what would it be?

I would love to hear Rufus Wainwright cover the Talking Heads’ “Road to Nowhere” but I don’t know if it would be my all-time pick.
