Aw man. This doesn’t have much to do with the music I usually talk about here, but I’m bummed to hear Leslie Nielsen passed away. Dialog like the stuff above really helped shape my sense of humor as a kid, and I’ll always think of him as the perfect straight man—the set could crash down around him, and he’d just dust himself off and keep going like nothing happened.

Agreed for all of the above.  I loved the tongue firmly in cheek style Mr. Nielsen had long mastered.  My own comedic tone always gravitated towards the role of the straight man, and I likely owe this to watching and re-watching (and re-watching, again) the Naked Gun movies for as long as I can remember.
